You may be asked to deliver yur resume in a number of different formats. The most common of which are a text (or ascii) formatted resume, a web-based resume format, Adobe's PDF resume format or even Microsoft's Word resume format. The problem is that most people keep a number of different resumes for each type of position they may be applying for. That makes keeping up with all of those formats a bit challenging. Another complication arises when you make a slight change to your resume. You then need it in all of those formats once again.

Of all resume formats the text resume (or ascii resume) can be the most difficult to maintain. The reason is that it requires hard line returns to limit the number of characters per line in your resume. Each time a small change is made, recreating those line breaks in the proper method can become tedious and discouraging. This tool eliminates that grief for you!

I recommend keeping only one copy of each resume you have. Create and store your resume in one file. When you need your resume in a different format, simply copy the text from that one file and paste it into the large box below. This handy little tool will do the rest.
